PHILIPP SCHLOHSNAGEL WINS GERALD.PH CUP

Oct 5, 2024

Perfect conditions at Midlands Golf Club

The GERALD.ph Golf Cup was held at the scenic Midland Golf Club. Upon arrival, players were welcomed with coffee and a chocolate croissant, courtesy of the sponsors, along with a lunch box featuring a ham and cheese croissant. The golf course was in excellent condition, and the weather was favorable. Although a few drops of rain appeared near the end of the round, the predicted downpour never materialized.

The course posed a challenge, with only seven players achieving their handicap or better. Philipp Schlohsnagel emerged as the overall champion with 43 Stapleford points. Keith Bradley followed as the runner-up with 40 points, and Klaus Koppenhöfer secured second runner-up with 38 points, edging out Nico Punzalan in a countback.

Gerald Egasse, the host, won the Low Gross category with an impressive score of 81. Tschangiz Scheybani and Keith Bradley took home the closest-to-the-pin trophies, while Joey Arenas claimed the Longest Drive award. Rolf Dunder won the Most Accurate Drive. Inhaye Ham was crowned Ladies Champion, and Francis Alvarez took the title of Guest Champion.

The awards ceremony took place at the Amare Restaurant at the Highlands Club, where participants enjoyed delicious pizzas and salmon steaks, paired with fine wine. This was the first time Gerald sponsored a tournament for the German Club Golf Circuit, and all attendees are eagerly anticipating next year’s event.
