ULRIKE DOES IT AGAIN!

Apr 18, 2024

Ulrike Steven wins the Brumann Cup

This year’s Brumann Cup was again played at the Legends course at Manila Southwoods. Under hot, but otherwise good conditions great results were produced, with 7 players playing their handicap or better.

Ulrike Steven, who already had won the Payreto Cup in January, became overall champion with 42 Stapleford points. The relentless Rainer Gloor came in second with 41points. Klaus Steven finished in 3rd place with 38 points. Low Gross honors went to Bob Horan, scoring an 82. He also won the closest to the pin award.

Guest Champion is Arlene Barclay, the longest putt was sunk by Jonathan Engalla and Gerald Egasse had the most accurate drive.

For many years, the after-golf party, hosted by Maria and Hans Brumann has been a very special event. Arranged in the beautiful garden setting of the Brumann residence, everybody enjoyed the magnificent food and wine. The 2 last guests (names kept as a secret) had to be shown the red card by 11:00pm, or else they would probably have stayed for breakfast.

A big THANK YOU to Maria and Hans!
