EXCELLENT CONDITIONS AT SHERWOOD GOLF AND COUNTRY CLUB
The rain delayed FIT TO LIVE CUP, was held on June 23 at the Sherwood course. The weather held up, the course was in great shape. A strong field of 39 participante played in this competition with Jesper Jensen winning by 3 strokes, producing an impressive score of 43 stableford points. Bill Cammack came in second with 40 STP's, Gerald Egasse was in third place with 39 points.
Low Gross honors went to Richard Delamarre scoring an equally impressive gross score of 80! Our host, Cristina Metelmann is the Ladies Champion and Joey Magcalayo is the guest champion. Ladies guest champion is Luarlene Barclay. The Most Accurate Drive was accomplished by Gerald Egasse. Closest to the pin was claimed by Bill Cammack with Keith Bradley hitting the longest drive.
Awarding was held at Säntis Silang, with great food and wines served at the occasion. A big THANK YOU goes to our generous sponsor Cristina Metelmann.
The event also served as an opportunity to say Goodbye to our dear friend Saeed Ahmed of Ethiad Airways, who has supported our golf group for a several of years. Saeed is leaving the country to return to Ethiad's homebase in Abu Dhabi. I am delighted to announce that Saeed confirmed that Ethiad will continue their sponsorship also in 2025. THANK YOU SAEED!
