The 2023 German Club Cup served as the season opener for the 2023 German Club Golf Circuit, our 38th season! The tournament was held at the Manila Golf & Country Club. The after-golf event was hosted by the German Club. A total of 41 members + 4 guests participated. A special guest of honor was the German ambassador to the Philippines, Madam Anke Reiffenstuel.
The course and the weather provided near perfect conditions. The greens were tough. The 3- and 4-put penalty cards were exchanged in record frequency.
Only one player beat his Handicap, Bill Cammack, who scored an amazing 39 STP points. He also won the lowest Gross, shooting an 82. Runners Up were Werner Berger and Philipp Schlohsnagel.
